Unlike Manchester or Birmingham, Dublin has no permanent, publicly advertised swingers club with a fixed address and a website listing opening hours. What Dublin has instead is a rotating calendar of organised nights: recurring couples-first club events at private venues, host-run house parties in the suburbs, and periodic hotel takeovers where an entire venue is reserved for the scene. The absence of a permanent venue isn't a sign of a weak scene — the events themselves are well-attended and well-run — it's a reflection of how the Irish scene prefers to operate: privately, and by list.

• Club nights. Monthly-ish evenings at a hired private venue. Smart dress, door policy, host couple on duty. The standard first event for most couples.
• Private parties. Smaller, host-vetted gatherings in private homes. Usually reached after you're known from club nights — Dublin hosts vet carefully.
• Hotel takeovers. The big-ticket format: a hotel bought out for a weekend, mixing socials, themed evenings and total privacy. These sell out via email lists, often weeks ahead.

How people actually get invited

Every route into the Dublin scene runs through the same doorway: being on the right lists and being vouched for. Couples typically start by attending an open club night (the least gate-kept format), behaving well, and getting to know the hosts. From there, invitations to private parties and takeover weekends follow naturally. What doesn't work is cold-messaging strangers online — the Dublin scene is small enough that reputation matters, and patient, respectful couples are the ones who end up with full calendars.

• Book accommodation in town if you're travelling — events run late and taxis at 3am are Dublin's weakest link.
• Dress codes are taken seriously at Dublin club nights: smart is the floor, not the ceiling.
